Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Christopher Brown of Duke Health

Christopher R. Brown, MD, is a fellowship trained spine surgeon at Duke Orthopaedics of Raleigh in North Carolina.

Dr. Brown is committed to providing his patients with minimally invasive surgical techniques. Some of his specialities include cervical radiculopathy, myelopathy and traumatic spine injuries. He performs several types of surgery including complex cervical reconstruction, disc replacement, minimally invasive scoliosis, motion prevention and metastatic and tumor. 

 

Dr. Brown earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. He had a residency in orthopedics at Duke University and a fellowship in the spine at Emory University Hospital in Georgia.

 

Dr. Brown is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He has published several studies in national and international spine journals.
