Mark Souweidane, MD, has been named chair of the editorial board for The Journal of Neurosurgery: Pediatrics.

1. Dr. Souweidane is vice chairman of the department of neurological surgery and the director of pediatric neurological surgery at the Weill Cornell Medical College and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, both located in New York.
2. He is also an associate professor in neurological surgery and pediatrics.
3. His clinical interests include treatment for chiari malformations and syringomyelia, management of pineal region tumors and removal of intramedullary spinal cord tumors.
4. He has authored 60 peer-reviewed articles, six book chapters and serves on the editorial board of Neurosurgery.
5. The Journal of Neurosurgery: Pediatrics was founded in 2004 as a supplement to the Journal of Neurosurgery.
