Sadiq Sohani, MD, medical director of Center for Spine and Pain Medicine, bought out the Georgia Pain Physicians Clinic of Calhoun's lease, according to Northwest Georgia News.
Here are four things to know:
1. Center for Spine and Pain Medicine offers services to Georgia residents in Dalton, Gainesville and Dacula as well as residents in Chattanooga, Tenn.
2. Dr. Sohani opted to purchase the lease after receiving numerous calls from Georgia Pain Physicians Clinic Calhoun patients regarding appointments.
3. Dr. Sohani has nearly 30 years of pain management experience, previously serving as Nashville-based Vanderbilt University Medical Center's assistant professor of anesthesiology and pain management.
4. Georgia Pain Physicians Clinic's founder and owner, Robert Windsor, MD, is not involved with Center for Spine and Pain Medicine Calhoun. Dr. Windsor pled guilty to healthcare fraud in March 2016 for filing claims for surgical monitoring services he did not provide.
