Spine surgeon Daniel Kim, MD, joined Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center in Birmingham, Ala.
Dr. Kim was the first spine surgeon in Birmingham to offer endoscopic spine surgery, the practice said in an Aug. 1 news release shared with Becker's. In 2022, he was recognized on the North American Spine Society’s SpineLine "20 Under 40" list.
"I want my patients who drive an hour or more from rural Alabama to receive the same exact quality of care in my office and operating room as they would if they were in Chicago, New York or Los Angeles," Dr. Kim said in the release.
Dr. Kim earned his medical degree at the University of Kentucky in Lexington and completed his residency at the University of South Alabama in Mobile.
