Charles Rosen, MD, is familiar with big accomplishments. He is the founding director of the University of California – Irvine Spine Center as well as a clinical professor of orthopedic surgery. Josh Rosen is the quarterback of the UCLA Bruins football team and a top NFL draft prospect; some mock drafts even have him going in the top five picks this weekend, according to CBS Sports.

Dr. Rosen has built a strong career over the past three decades, not only staying on the cutting edge of spine care and minimally invasive treatment, but also in medical ethics. He is founder and president of the Association for Medical Ethics, an organization that aims to decrease the influence of industry on physicians who are paid consultants as well as provide a forum for spine surgery research apart from company bias.

His more current research also focuses on developing a more accurate model of spinal biomechanics. He continues to advocate for more transparent medical care and stays involved in the field of medical ethics.
