SSM Health Medical Group adds spine surgeon

Spine surgeon Amit Bhandarkar, MD, joined SSM Health Medical Group’s Centralia, Ill., location, according to a July 22 news release shared with Becker’s.

Along with spine surgery, he has expertise in pain management. Dr. Bhandarkar also performs endoscopic and minimally invasive spine surgery.

He earned his MBBS at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical School in India, according to SSM Health’s website. He also has training from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and New York University in New York City.
