Top used cervical spine component manufacturers

Medtronic is the most commonly used cervical component manufacturer in the U.S., according to the 2025 American Spine Registry, a partnership between the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

The inaugural report reviewed procedures performed between 2015 and 2023, collecting data on 230,159 lumbar spine procedures, 112,683 cervical spine procedures and patient-reported outcome measures, according to a Feb. 20 news release.

The most commonly used cervical component manufacturing companies and their share of the market between 2015 and 2023:

1. Medtronic: 37%

2. Johnson & Johnson (DePuy Synthes): 22.3% 

3. Globus Medical: 19.5% 

4. Stryker: 15.8% 

5. Baxter: 14.6%

6. MTF Biologics: 11.9%

7. LifeNet Health: 10.3% 

8. Zimmer Biomet: 7.6% 

9. Integra LifeSciences: 5.6%
