Marc Philippon, MD, a hip surgeon at The Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colo., recently performed surgery on Charlotte Bobcats guard Gerald Henderson for a torn labrum, according to a Sports Page Magazine report.
A congenital issue in Mr. Henderson's hip caused the impingement and labrum tear in his right hip. The surgery is also expected to fix issues he has with knee tendonitis. Mr. Henderson is expected to recover from surgery after four to six months and fully participate in the upcoming season.
