Zach Johnson, DO, and Gina Pontius, MD, joined the Hannibal (Mo.) Clinic, the Herald-Whig reports.
Here's what you need to know.
1. Both physicians are sports medicine specialists.
2. Dr. Johnson earned his doctorate of osteopathic medicine from Kirksville, Mo.-based A.T. Still University. He completed a residency at the Oklahoma State University Medical Center in Tulsa before completing fellowships at the Columbus, Ohio-based Riverside Methodist Hospital and at A.T. Still University.
3. Dr. Pontius earned her medical degree from the St. Louis University School of Medicine. She completed her residency and fellowship at the Carbondale-based Southern Illinois University School of Medicine.
She is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
