San Francisco 49ers safety Eric Reid had his torn right bicep repaired by head team physician Tim McAdams, MD, Comcast Sportsnet reports.
Here's what you need to know.
1. Mr. Reid sustained the injury on the Nov. 20, 2016 game against the New England Patriots. His surgery took place Nov. 22, 2016.
2. Dr. McAdams is an orthopedic surgeon at Stanford University Medical Center in Redwood City, Calif.
3. Dr. McAdams specializes in treating the knee, shoulder and hand. He works with athletes of all levels and received several honors in recognition of his work.
4. In addition to his duties with the 49ers, Dr. McAdams is a team physician with the Golden State Warriors and the Stanford University's men's basketball team. He is a consultant with the San Francisco Giants.
