2. The team sent Mr. Kopech to Dr. Verma for a physical examination. Dr. Verma discovered the tear.
3. Dr. Verma is an orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine physician who serves as professor and director of sports medicine for Chicago-based Rush University Medical Center's department of orthopedic surgery.
4. He is a team physician for the White Sox.
