Dr. Leda Ghannad joins Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush: 5 key points

Here are five key notes on Dr. Ghannad:

 

1. She has a special interest in sports medicine and a background in physical medicine and rehabilitation.

 

2. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Ghannad authored a review article for the American Academy of Pediatrics on musculoskeletal injuries in adolescents. She is also writing a book chapter on covering gender-related sports injuries in adolescents.

 

3. She earned her medical degree at Chicago School of Medicine, Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. She completed additional training at Northwestern University’ Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, including a fellowship in primary care sports medicine.

 

4. Dr. Ghannad has a special interest in educating athletes, parents and coaches about injury prevention and volunteers at the Chicago Marathon.

 

5. She will begin seeing patients at MOR’s new Northwestern Indiana clinic when it opens in January 2016.
