Dr. Walter Beaver performs TKR on NC men’s basketball coach Roy Williams: 4 things to know

Walter B. Beaver Jr., MD, performed knee surgery on North Carolina Hall of Fame men’s basketball coach Roy Williams, according to Washington’s Top News.

Here are four things to know:

 

1. Dr. Beaver performed the knee replacement procedure on Mr. Williams’ right knee.

 

2. Mr. Williams is expected to be back on the road in July for recruiting.

 

3. Dr. Beaver, of Charlotte-based OrthoCarolina, is program director of the International Congress for Joint Reconstruction’s Hip and Knee Course.

 

4. He is also the head team physician for Hendrick Motor Sports.
