Vail (Colo.)-Summit Orthopaedics partnered with Universal Research Solutions for electronic patient data collection.
The partnership gives Vail-Summit Orthopaedics surgeons access to the OBERD Musculoskeletal Quality of Life registries. The registries allow surgeons and researchers to compare outcomes across nationwide datasets and develop evidence-based pathways for improved outcomes.
"We serve one of the most active sports populations in the country," said William Sterett, MD, of Vail-Summit Orthopaedics. "We are committed to getting our patients back to active life as quickly and as safely as possible. OBERD data collection and registries will give us access to actionable data that can offer insights and best practices to help us provide more effective care to our patients."
Vail-Summit Orthopaedics surgeons and researchers will use the registry for benchmarking, conducting outcomes-based research and meeting meaningful use reporting requirements.
