OrthoIllinois moving to Algonquin – 5 observations

Practice Management

OrthoIllinois is moving its Crystal Lake, Ill., facility to Algonquin, Ill., in order to expand its services and better treat patients' wide array of conditions, according to a report from the Northwest Herald.

Here are five things to know:

1. OrthoIllinois acquired the Crystal Lake clinic two-and-a-half years ago, and has an additional office in Huntley, Ill.

2. The move is expected to increase the amount of OrthoIllinois employees from 35 to 100.

3. CEO Don Schreiner noted that the new facility will allow OrthoIllinois to "…better serve the Elgin market, the Algonquin market, and still be able to take care of our Crystal Lake, Woodstock, and Huntley [clients]."

4. OrthoIllinois' Crystal Lake office currently specializes in joints, sports medicine, and hands. Mr. Schreiner announced the Algonquin facility will also offer pediatric and spine services, trauma and urgent care and MRI services.

5. The 26,490-square-foot building will cost around $9 million to build and is expected to be completed by the spring.
