Stamford (Conn.) Health and New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery have agreed to collaborate in their mission to improve muscoskeletal services in the New England region.
1. The orthopedic care center will provide inpatient and ambulatory care for patients in Connecticut and New England.
2. Surgeons from HSS in New York City will treat patients through HSS Orthopedics at Stamford Health.
3. The partnership is expected to reduce the amount of Connecticut residents who need to leave the state in order to receive care.
4. Brian G. Grissler, President and CEO of Stamford Health, said, "We believe this strategic and innovative relationship with HSS will elevate our institution to the forefront of musculoskeletal services and further differentiate us from others in the region."
5. HSS has been ranked the top hospital for orthopedics in the U.S. for the past seven years by U.S. News & World Report.
