Medscape surveyed more than 19,200 physicians in more than 27 specialties on their salaries.
The survey revealed an average annual full-time compensation of $294,000 for all physicians. While primary care physicians checked in at $217,000, specialists reported a 46 percent jump to an average compensation of $316,000.
