Nebraska Orthopaedic Hospital and OrthoWest, both based in Omaha, are undergoing a rebranding, according to Omaha World-Herald.
Here are six highlights:
1. The hospital and practice will go by the new name of OrthoNebraska.
2. Officials emphasize this is not a merger, but rather a "rebranding initiative."
3. Levi Scheppers, the hospital's CEO, said the rebranding will hopefully eliminate any confusion around the relationship between the hospital and clinic.
4. OrthoWest represents the largest orthopedic and musculoskeletal practice in Nebraska, inclusive of more than 25 orthopedic surgeons, three rheumatologists, a neurosurgeon and a physiatrist.
5. Nebraska Orthopaedic Hospital opened in 2004, and is the first hospital in the region dedicated to orthopedics.
6. OrthoNebraska encompasses clinics in Omaha, Council Bluffs, Bellevue, Fremont, Blair, Norfolk as well as Fairfax, Mo.
