The HSS Paramus (N.J.) Outpatient Center doubled its size to offer rehabilitation services, beginning June 26.
Here are seven highlights:
1. New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery opened the outpatient center in 2014 to boost access for New Jersey patients.
2. The center employed five therapists who specialize in musculoskeletal conditions.
3. The center underwent a year-long, 4,522-square-foot expansion.
4. The HSS Paramus Outpatient Center is now 11,812 square feet.
5. The expansion includes three treatment rooms, three treatment tables, stationary bikes, a treadmill, an Alter G, an elliptical, leg press, ballet bar, exercise balls, foam rollers, weights, Nu Step, Normatec compression, Game Ready ice machine, paraffin machine, putty, splint-making pan and hand webs.
6. The center also offers medical diagnosis, radiology and imaging services, pre-and post-operative care and non-surgical injury management.
7. Fourteen HSS physicians, with specialties in foot and ankle, pain management, pediatric orthopedics, scoliosis, spine, neurology, sports medicine and rheumatology, staff the center.
