Franciscan Health Munster (Ind.) entered into a co-management agreement with Chicago-based Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush for a new joint replacement services.
Here are four things to know:
1. Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush is collaborating with the Franciscan Health Center for Joint Surgery at Franciscan Health Munster hospital to provide joint reconstructive and replacement services.
2. MOR's Dennis Nam, MD, will be the medical director for Franciscan Health Munster's joint replacement program. He will be responsible for all aspects of joint replacement care at Franciscan Health, including staffing and protocols.
3. Franciscan Health Munster's CEO Patrick Maloney hopes the partnership will boost orthopedic services in northwest Indiana. U.S. News & World Report ranked Rush's orthopedic program as No. 4 in the nation for 2017.
4. The partners will focus on inpatient joint replacement and reconstruction. Franciscan Alliance has 14 hospital campuses in the Midwest.
