The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons named two new executive staff members.
AAOS appointed Dino Damalas COO and Paul Hainsman CIO of technology and data services.
Mr. Damalas will oversee the organization's operations and focus on strategic planning, culture and governance. He previously served as the vice president of technology and business services at the American College of Cardiology, managing a 90-plus member team. He also has experience in technology roles at BRTRC Federal Solutions and Extensity Information Services.
Mr. Haisman will be responsible for project management, business systems, application development and network services for AAOS. "Dino and Paul will play a critical role in assessing the Academy's immediate and long-term goals to ensure that the organization continues to thrive in a competitive environment and most importantly continues to provide high value programs and services to our orthopedic members," said AAOS CEO Thomas Arend.
