Stephen Parazin, MD, is the chief of spine surgery at New England Baptist Hospital in Boston. He is an assistant clinical professor at Tufts University School of Medicine. He is also a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and a member of the North American Spine Society.
Dr. Parazin specializes in complex surgery of the neck and back, including revision surgery. He performs minimally invasive micro-surgeries. He also specializes in cases of herniated discs, spinal stenosis, myelopathy, spondylosis, adult scoliosis and deformity.
"The most fulfilling aspect of my career has been the ability to help as many people as I have been able to," said Dr. Parazin in a Becker's Spine Review article. "Having a career now that has spanned over 15 years, to come across the patients that I have helped previously or to help their family members is very rewarding. The ability to help and return a wholeness to patients' lives is a tremendous benefit."
Dr. Parazin earned his medical degree at the University of California, Irvine. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Tufts Medical Center in Boston and a fellowship in spine surgery at New England Baptist Hospital in Boston.
