Michael Skaliy, MD, is a pain management specialist and principle of Atlanta Spine Specialists in Lawrenceville, Ga. He is a member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and International Society of Spinal Injectionists. He was the chief of medical staff at Baptist Medical Center in Cumming, Ga., prior to opening Atlanta Spine Specialists.
Dr. Skaliy is a board-certified anesthesiologist and pain management specialist. He was chairman of the department of anesthesiology and director of the pain center at Baptist Medical Center for 10 years — from 1993-2003. He served on the board of trustees at Baptist Medical for seven years — from 1996-2003.
Dr. Skaliy earned his medical degree at Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. He completed an internal medicine internship at University of Alabama in Montgomery and his residency at University of Tennessee in Memphis.
