Spine Surgeon Leader to Know: Dr. Donald Corenman of The Steadman Clinic

Donald S. Corenman, MD, is spine and neck specialist at Vail, Colo.-based The Steadman Clinic. He is a clinical assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at the University of Colorado in Denver. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, a charter diplomat of the American Board of Spine Surgery and a diplomat of the American Board of Chiropractic Orthopaedics.
Dr. Corenman is board certified in orthopedic surgery, and he specializes in treatment of herniated discs, kyphosis, neck pain, scoliosis, spinal cord diseases, spinal fusion surgery and spinal stenosis.

"The opportunities are going to become more constricted as more hospitals hire people to be staff members instead of independent contractors," said Donald Corenman in a Becker's Spine Review article. "I think it's going to negatively impact care because doctors will become shift workers and that's going to diminish their quality and continuity of care."

Dr. Corenman earned his medical degree at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery Detroit Medical Center. He has also completed a fellowship in spinal disorders and deformities at University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver.
