Major League Soccer has appointed Damion Martins, MD, director of orthopedics and sports medicine at Atlantic Health System in New Jersey, as its administrative medical director. Dr. Martins, board certified in sports medicine and internal medicine, also currently serves as the director of internal medicine for the New York Jets.
As the MLS administrative medical director, he will develop and review the best medical practices and policies.
