Winthrop Hospital Opens Weekly Sports Clinic

Mineola, N.Y.-based Winthrop University Hospital has opened a weekend sports clinic in Mineola targeted toward middle school and high school athletes, according to a report from the New Hyde Park Illustrated.

The clinic is staffed by a team of sports medicine physicians from Winthrop Hospital, including orthopedic surgeons.

The hospital opened the clinic so young athletes would not have to wait until a weekday to see a physician if they are injured during a weekend athletic event, according to the report.
