Kern Singh, MD, is a spine, back and neck surgeon and professor at Chicago-based Rush University Medical Center.
Board certified in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Singh specializes in outpatient minimally invasive spine surgery and is co-director of the Minimally Invasive Spine Institute at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush. Dr. Singh was appointed to serve as the chair of the Spine Program Committee for the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons Annual Meeting from 2017 to 2020.
Dr. Singh's research has been featured in over 200 publications, and he won Best Paper at the North American Spine Society and Society of Minimally Invasive Spinal Surgery International Meetings in 2013. He is the principal researcher in several FDA clinical trials involving motion-preserving spinal technology and cervical disc replacements.
After completing his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College, Dr. Singh underwent fellowship training at Emory University in Atlanta.
