Scott Glaser, MD, is co-founder and president of the Pain Specialists of Greater Chicago. He has been elected twice to the national board of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and has served as president of the Illinois Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.
Dr. Glaser specializes in back pain, leg pain, painful neuropathy and complex regional pain syndrome. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Interventional Pain Physicians and a fellow of Interventional Pain Practice. He is also an instructor for the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.
"Chronic pain is bothersome, but in many cases patients aren't injuring themselves by going back to work," said Dr. Glaser said in a Becker's Spine Review article. "For interventional pain management, we use opioids and narcotics judiciously. We know when patients have gone as far as they can and when an intervention is going to be appropriate."
Dr. Glaser earned his medical degree at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. He completed his residency at Northwestern Memorial in Chicago.
Dr. Glaser will speak on "The Best Ideas for Improving the Profits of Pain Management Driven Centers, Key Developments in Pain Management" among other topics at the 11th Annual Orthopedic, Spine and Pain Management-Driven ASC Conference in Chicago from June 13 to 15, 2013.
