Globus Medical, Orthofix and more: 8 medtech notes

Here are eight key developments from spine and orthopedic devicemakers since July 3.

1. Orthofix's Fitbone transport and lengthening system earned FDA 510(k) clearance and was used in its first U.S. case.

2. Joint preservation company Anika Therapeutics has released its Integrity implant system to the full U.S. market. 

3. Enovis earned FDA 510(k) clearance for its AltiVate reverse glenoid system.

4. Fitch Ratings affirmed Zimmer Biomet's long-term issuer default rating, senior unsecured bank facility and senior unsecured notes at "BBB", signaling a stable outlook for the company.

5. Providence Medical Technology earned FDA clearance for its Corus posterior cervical stabilization to treat up to three-level cervical degenerative disc disease.

6. Stephanie Walsh was named Orthofix's new chief human resources officer.

7. Globus Medical director Leslie Norwalk sold 1,000 shares of the company's Class A common stock.

8. Globus Medical's ExcelsiusFlex robot was cleared for use with the Actify 3D total knee system.
