NFL, NBC News feature Dr. Ron Hugate in film series

Ron Hugate, MD, of Denver-based Colorado Limb Consultants, has been featured by National Football League and NBC News in the film series "Together We Make Football," according to a report by The Denver Post.

Dr. Hugate focuses on the treatment of bone and soft tissue tumors, treatment of pelvic dysplasia with the GANZ Osteotomy, joint reconstruction following tumor removal, bone healing problems and difficult bone infections. Dr. Hugate's clinic, based at Presbyterian-St. Lukes Medical Center, has treated more than 10,000 patients and focuses on treating osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer typically affecting children entering their teens. The clinic has a survival rate of around 90 percent for pediatric bone cancer, according to the report.
