Florida Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. John Hocker Dies

John Hocker, MD, former chief of orthopedics at St. Luke's Hospital in Jacksonville, Fla., recently died of pancreatic cancer, according to a report in The Florida Times-Union. Dr. Hocker practiced for 39 years before retiring in 2001. In addition to his role at St. Luke's, Dr. Hocker was chairman of the Jacksonville Hospital Education Program. He earned his medial degree at Kansas University Medical School in Kansas City and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Campbell Clinic in Memphis.
