WWE star faces 2nd spine injury of the year

Spine

World Wrestling Entertainment star Randy Orton suffered a spinal injury in a Nov. 8 Smackdown competition, according to a Nov. 9 report from Newsweek.

Following the event, Mr. Orton was diagnosed with cervical cord neurapraxia, and there is currently no timetable for his return.

The injury came following a piledriver from competitor Kevin Owens, a move that has been banned from the WWE due to risk for spine injuries.

Mr. Orton recently returned to the ring after being away for two years due to a spinal injury. He was originally told by physicians that he likely would not compete again. Following a spinal fusion procedure, he was once again able to compete pain free.
