WWE fighter Cody Rhodes has been hospitalized following a cervical spine injury, according to a Dec. 16 report from FightFans.
The injury occurred Dec. 14 at "Saturday Night’s Main Event" during a fight against Kevin Owens.
Mr. Rhodes was kept overnight at the hospital for observation. No fractures were found, but he was diagnosed with axial compression of the cervical spine and a cervical strain accompanied by spasms.
No timetable was provided for Mr. Rhodes' return to the ring. The WWE medical team is closely monitoring his recovery, according to the report.
