Los Angeles Lakers team physicians Steve Lombardo, MD, and Daniel Kharazzi, MD, recently performed knee surgery on Lakers forward Derrick Caracter, according to a Lakers news report.
Mr. Caracter suffered an injury during practice earlier this week, and the physicians were able to perform a successful procedure to remove part of a torn lateral meniscus in his left knee. The procedure is considered successful and Mr. Caracter is expected to stay out of play for the next six weeks.
