Richard Menger, MD, is chief of complex spine surgery and assistant professor of neurosurgery at University of South Alabama Health in Mobile.
Dr. Menger specializes in complex spinal reconstructions for spinal deformity in pediatric and adult patients.
He graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C., where he received the Barbara Bregman PhD award as the top graduate in neuroscience.
Dr. Menger also holds a master's in public administration from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government in Cambridge, Mass.
During his neurosurgery residency at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Dr. Menger completed an enfolded fellowship in pediatric spinal deformity at Shriners Hospital for Children in Shreveport, La.
He completed the advanced pediatric spinal deformity orthopedic fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center in New York City.
