Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Roosevelt Offoha, of Houston Scoliosis & Spine Institute

Roosevelt Offoha, MD, is a spine surgeon at Houston Scoliosis & Spine Institute.

He completed his medical degree from Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and completed his residency at the University of Illinois in Chicago College of Medicine. He completed a spine surgery fellowship at New York University Langone Orthopedic hospital in New York City.

During medical school, Dr. Offoha helped design an electronic medical record system to help homeless and low-income medical clinics. That work earned him several accolades, including the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship and Clinton Global Initiative endorsement.

His specialties include sciatica, minimally invasive spine surgery, spinal fusion and disc replacement. Along with clinical work, he dedicates time to mentor young people in his community.
