The Radiological Society of North America has announced its latest AI competition, the RSNA Cervical Spine Fracture AI Challenge, which will award $30,000 between 10 entrants that create accurate machine learning models.
RSNA will send contestants 2,800 cervical spine CTs from 12 institutions across the world that are half negative and half positive, according to a July 29 news release.
The CTs have already been diagnosed by the American Society of Neuroradiology and the American Society of Spine Radiology.
Competitors will have to create a machine learning model that can beat the specialists' performance in detecting fractures.
The 10 best entries will split the $30,000 prize.
Winners will be recognized at RSNA 2022 in Chicago at the end of the year.
