The radio program "Sports Medicine Weekly," hosted by Brian Cole, MD, and Steve Kashul, will now be broadcast on the Chicago sports station 670 The Score Radio.
Here are four things to know:
1. "Sports Medicine Weekly" is the only radio program in the Midwest devoted to sports medicine, with more than 250 podcasts and 1,200 blog posts.
2. Dr. Cole is a board-certified orthopedic sports medicine surgeon at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush in Chicago. Mr. Kashul is an award-winning sports reporter.
3. The program has donated more than $100,000 in proceeds to the Advancement of Orthopedic Research and Cell Biology at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.
4. The Score is a 24/7 station with broadcast rights for the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bulls, DePaul Basketball and The University of Illinois Athletics along with its sister station WBBM-News, the radio home for the Chicago Bears.
