The Sacramento Kings' Pete Youngman is stepping down from his role as sports medicine director, the NBA team announced Aug. 1.

1. Mr. Youngman will remain with the organization as a senior adviser.
2. Mr. Youngman has been with the Kings for 25 years.
3. Prior to becoming sports medicine director, he was the Kings' trainer for 15 seasons, according to The Sacramento Bee.
"I have cherished my time with the Kings and want to thank Vlade [Divac, Sacramento Kings general manager], Coach [Dave] Joerger and the incredible staff for the opportunity. I am very proud of our team and staff, look forward to my next steps in this new role and I am confident we have a bright future ahead of us," Mr. Youngman said in a statement.
