Here are eight orthopedic surgeons that treated professional athletes in August 2018:

James Andrews, MD, performed knee surgery on the Redskin's Derrius Guice Aug. 17. He also examined Carolina Panthers left tackle Matt Kalil's knee Aug. 21. and Baltimore Orioles outfielder Mark Trumbo's right knee Aug. 29.

Neal ElAttrache, MD, performed arthroscopic surgery on the left knee of the Los Angeles Angels' Albert Pujols. Dr. ElAttrache also examined the injured left shoulder of Oakland Athletics pitcher Sean Manaea Aug. 28 in Los Angeles. 

Marc J. Philippon, MD, performed season-ending hip surgery on San Francisco Giants catcher Buster Posey. Dr. Philippon surgically repaired Mr. Posey's labral and remove a bone spur in his right hip.

Christopher Coogan, MD, performed a procedure on the lower abdomen and groin area of Chicago White Sox first baseman Jose Abreu. Mr. Abreu had complained of discomfort in the region Aug. 21.

Dallas Cowboys center Travis Frederick traveled to visit Robert Watkins III, MD, after experiencing stingers in his neck.

Jeffrey Dugas, MD, performed knee surgery on WWE's Jorge Arias, also known as Sin Cara.

Rachel Triche, MD, repaired the left medial malleolus of Los Angeles Football Club midfielder Mark-Anthony Kaye Aug. 6.

Bryan Kelly, MD, performed arthroscopic surgery on New York Yankees outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury's left hip and on Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager's left hip.
