Timothy Durkin, DO, opened his new practice, Durango (Colo.) Sports Medicine, according to The Durango Herald.
Here are four things to know:
1. Dr. Durkin is a board-certified sports and emergency medicine physician.
2. The clinic offers sports injury and diagnosis for non-surgical treatments, including concussion management, diagnostic ultrasound, ganglion injection, aspiration and trigger point injection.
3. Durango Sports Medicine partnered with X-Ray Associates of New Mexico in Farmington to offer imaging X-ray, CT and MRI scans services.
4. After earning his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine at University of Pikeville, Dr. Durkin completed his residency at New York City-based Albert Einstein College of Medicine and a sports medicine fellowship at University of Florida in Gainesville.
