Bethlehem, Pa.-based St. Luke's University Health Network has been selected as the official sports medicine provider for Blue Bell, Pa.-based Montgomery County Community College, The Intelligencer reports.
Here are three things to know:
1. The health system will provide the college with a full-time, on-campus athletic trainer to oversee all seven varsity sports and team physician services. St. Luke's will also provide instruction in sports first aid, CPR, automated external defibrillator and stop-the-bleeding training.
2. St. Luke's is the region's largest sports medicine provider, offering athletic training, orthopedics, rehabilitation and concussion management, as well as sports performance training for athletes and teams.
3. The health system currently works with more than 45 high schools, colleges and universities and more than 100 youth programs.
