Michelle Carlson, MD, performed ligament repair surgery on Brooklyn Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie's right thumb, the NBA reports.
Dr. Carlson performed the procedure at New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery. She is an associate attending orthopedic surgeon at HSS and an associate clinical orthopedic surgery professor at New York City-based Weill Cornell Medical College.
Mr. Dinwiddie is third among all players in points scored off the bench this season. He has recorded the second-most points off the bench in a season in Nets history.
