Neal S. ElAttrache, MD, repaired the ulnar collateral ligament of Kansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez, the team reports.
Mr. Perez injured his right UCL Feb. 27 while throwing during training drills in Sunrise, Ariz. He will miss the entire 2019 season.
Dr. ElAttrache is an orthopedic surgeon at Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute in Los Angeles. He is the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Foundation board chairman and program director for the Kerlan-Jobe fellowship. He is the head team physician for the Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles Rams.
