Ryon Healy, the Seattle Mariners' first baseman, received another injury setback when he was diagnosed with spinal stenosis, reports The Seattle Times.
Mr. Healy has been on the injured list since May 21 and may miss another month due to the condition.
He visited a specialist in Los Angeles and received an epidural injection to help relieve pain.
"I can't sit or stand comfortably. You can imagine how rotating (swinging a bat) feels," Mr. Healy told The Seattle Times. "Obviously the spine is something that's severe and it's not something you really want to mess with. But we rehab this process, the epidural works, this shouldn't be a problem ever again."
