Yankees outfielder Aaron Hicks visited Neal ElAttrache, MD, on Sept. 9 for a second opinion on his injured right elbow, according to the New York Post.
Three things to know:
1. Mr. Hicks was put on the injured list with a right flexor strain on Aug. 4, according to MLB.com. The injury could put Mr. Hicks out of play for the rest of the season.
2. Dr. ElAttrache is an orthopedic surgeon at Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute in Los Angeles. He is the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Foundation board chairman and program director for the Kerlan-Jobe Sports Medicine Fellowship.
3. Dr. ElAttrache is the head team physician for the Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles Rams. He is also an orthopedic consultant to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Kings, Anaheim Ducks and PGA Tour.
