Winston-Salem (N.C.) State University is partnering with Wake Forest Baptist Health to offer orthopedic and sports medicine care to student athletes, according to Triad Business Journal.
Family medicine physician Laura Lintner, DO, will operate as medical director for the university's athletics program and orthopedic surgeon Kevin Coates, MD, will serve as sports medicine director.
The Winston-Salem-based health system will provide physicians at WSSU football and basketball games.
WFBH physicians will engage in health screenings, concussion management, physicals and athletic performance programs with student-athletes at the university.
