Jared Bonecutter, PT, DPT, recently opened Podium, a physical therapy practice in Shelby, Ohio, the Richland Source reports.
Here are three things to know:
1. Podium specializes in treating endurance athletes but also treats patients with a variety of musculoskeletal impairments and helps with postoperative rehabilitation. Because of Ohio's direct access regulations, no physician prescription is required to utilize the services he offers.
2. Dr. Bonecutter is a graduate of the Ohio University's doctor of physical therapy program. He was the recipient of the university's physical therapy service award. He conceived of the idea for his practice after a clinical rotation at the University of Illinois Chicago Hospital.
3. Dr. Bonecutter has advanced training in spinal manipulation, bike fitting and dry needling. He received his certification in dry needling level from the International Academy of Orthopedic Medicine.
