Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater had multiple ligaments in his knee surgically repaired by Dan Cooper, MD, the Star Tribune reports.
Here's what you should know.
1. Mr. Bridgewater dislocated his left knee, tore the anterior cruciate ligament and suffered structural damage to his knee on Aug. 30 while at practice.
2. Dr. Cooper repaired the multiple ligaments in Mr. Bridgewater's knee early last week.
3. Dr. Cooper works out of the renowned orthopedic center the Dallas-based Carrell Clinic, in addition to being the head team physician for the Dallas Cowboys and the Real Madrid Football Club.
4. Dr. Cooper earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. He had a residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center, and his fellowship was through the Hospital for Special Surgery.
