Steve Shin, MD, repaired the torn ligament in Houston Rocket's center Clint Capela's right thumb, the team announced.

1. The team expects Mr. Capela will miss up to six weeks as he recovers.
2. Dr. Shin is the hand surgery director at the Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute in Los Angeles.
3. He is a consultant to the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Angels, Los Angeles Kings and Anaheim Ducks.
